Are there differences between how fine lines and wrinkles form ?
Not all lines and wrinkles have the same “origin.” So, treatment varies. For instance, expression lines form due to the repeated and cumulative effects of squinting, frowning, and otherwise “making an expression.” Lines, wrinkles, and folds can also arise or worsen due to the skin’s loss of collagen and elastin. These proteins and fibers function as structural supports. We can soften these lines with other injectable treatments, like dermal or soft tissue fillers.
How does Dysport® work on my expression lines ?
Dysport® is just one category of formulations or products known as “neuromodulators.” This mouthful of a word simply refers to medications or solutions that, once injected into precise points of the face, relax the muscles that are responsible for expression lines. A muscle that remains relaxed and does not contract does not contribute to a “frow line” or “crow’s feet.”
